SP JAIN'S EVENTS

SPJ Toastmasters Club held their 6^th meet on the 10^th of June 2017, with the focus on Women Empowerment. The event was attended by various EMBA cohorts (Batch 32-40), and saw a brilliant start by the Sergeant at Arms, TM Arti Thanki, followed by an equally engaging and thought provoking Presidential Address, by the President of the club, TM Parmita Debnath.

To help students get exposure to the nuances of the corporate world, as part of their SCSR subject, BBA Jags witnessed 3 impressive Guest sessions at SP Jain’s Mumbai campus. The 3 guest speakers invited by Prof Shrinivas Shikaripurkar included Harsh Gandhi (Executive Director, Gujarat Reclaim & Rubber Product Ltd), Homi N Daruwalla (Chairman, IGBC; Deputy Chairman, CII Energy Efficiency) & Cristiana Peruzzo (CSR Specialist, Innovaid India).

The Centre for Policy Development & Analysis, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Indonesia was on a field trip to India to understand the Indian perspective on this grouping of nations. They visited the Mumbai campus of the SP Jain School of Global Management to discuss and share ideas on the future of the IORA.

On 19th May, 2017, the MGB and GMBA batch of SP Jain’s Dubai Campus visited the Emirates Facilities to understand the functioning of one the largest airline services in the Middle East, Emirates.

It helps individuals learn the art of speaking, listening and thinking – the vital skills that promotes self-actualisation and enhance leadership potential. Toastmasters have proven to be a platform where speakers are groomed and cultivated.

S P Jain School of Global Management conducted the fourth Supply Chain Management Conclave in March, 2017 at the School’s Dubai and Singapore campuses. With the theme Supply Chain Disruption and Mitigation Strategies, prominent industry leaders fronted panel discussions on Lessons from Recent Supply Chain Disruptions and Mitigation Strategies and Potential Disruptions in Global Supply Chains and Roadmap for The Future.

Action Learning Projects serve as an integral part of Term 3 for the Global MBA Students. Team SP Jain is proud of our Students, Vikrant Sharma and Nikhil Subramanian, who have done a tremendous work for their ALPs. Their outcomes have been very well acknowledged and appreciated by their external corporate mentors from Emirates National Oil Company Ltd (ENOC) – one of the oldest and biggest oil companies in the U.A.E.
