SP Jain School of Global Management’s Singapore campus proudly welcomed 146 students from over 22 countries to the September 2019 cohort of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program.
The undergraduate students, or Jaguars as we call them, have come together to embark on an exciting journey with SP Jain, to learn and live in three different megacities of the world —Singapore, Dubai and Sydney — and become independent global business leaders. The Jaguars will not only interact with people from different backgrounds but also understand the global nature of business in the most compelling way – through actual exposure to diverse cultures, political beliefs, traditions and technological innovations.
The orientation of the BBA September 2019 cohort took place on September 3, 2019, at The Star Vista. The event started with a high-energy cultural performance – the Lion Dance. The auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony was led by Nitish Jain, President, SP Jain; Dr John Fong, CEO & Head of Campus (Singapore), SP Jain; and Dr Sivakumar Alagumalai, Dean, Undergraduate Programs, SP Jain.
Samantha Ng, Student Experience Manager, SP Jain, recited the SP Jain prayer followed by our new Jaguar, Clayton Teo from Singapore, leading his peers with the students’ pledge.
The orientation was then officiated by Prof Golo Weber, Assistant Dean (Undergraduate Programs), SP Jain, with an engaging welcome address and introduction to the faculty. The ceremony concluded with Hagit Ben Ari, Senior Life Coach & Counsellor, SP Jain, guiding students on adapting to life on campus while sharing more on adjustments, identity and relationships.
As we could not miss capturing moments of excited Jaguars and parents bonding over newly forged friendships, we gathered all students, parents, faculty and staff for a great photo opportunity:
Team SP Jain wishes all the Jaguars an engaging learning experience!
