Amidst the spirited gathering at one of the top B-schools in the world, SP Jain School of Global Management recently has had the honor to host an eccentric guest lecturer at our Dubai Campus - Ms. Beatriz Atienza. An event, which goes by the name 'Visiting Wisdom' saw the inspiring personality addressing the students about "Interpersonal Relations Management with the Supply Chain Process". Ms. Atienza took us through the challenges that her 12 years professional journey posed in front of her and how she overcame them. She gave us an insight of overall corporate work environment. Something which inspired me the most was when she told us about her tenure with vivid corporate giants, including Henkel, Ford Motor Co., Mazda Motor in different nations. Dominating a male-dominated gamut, she accepted the difficulties and broke all the regional and linguistic challenges.
Ms. Atienza reached her goals in the field even when logistics was still not introduced to the most. She also spoke about sales and operations, objectives, planning-process, forecasting demand and supply and implementation. It was a great interactive session, which helped us to get a preview of real-life challenges while working at niche and executive level when she answered the student's queries. She also highlighted the tools, which helped her to attain the objectives and her current position.
