On 11th November 2024, SP Jain Dubai hosted a delegation from Guangdong Technology College, China. Led by Vice Principal Miss Tang and 25 staff members, the delegation aimed to discuss opportunities for their 35,000 bachelor’s students from China to continue their studies at SP Jain.

The group expressed keen interest in studying and working in Dubai, especially with the recent changes to the UAE immigration policy. Now, Chinese nationals can receive 90-day visit visas on arrival, making Dubai an increasingly appealing destination for Chinese students.

In addition, the college showed strong interest in SP Jain’s Master of Artificial Intelligence in Business (MAIB) program, recognising the UAE as a global hub for Artificial Intelligence (AI) with a dedicated Minister for AI and a growing demand for the program. SP Jain’s MAIB program offers excellent opportunities for students looking to build successful careers in this dynamic industry.

During the visit, SP Jain faculty, Dr Marko Selakovic (Assistant Professor - Marketing & Communication), presented “Business Careers in the Era of AI,” while Dr Anshul Gupta (Area Head - IT and Technology Management & Assistant Professor - Data Science) shared insights on AI’s impact across industries. The delegation also learned about the UAE's National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims to make the UAE a global leader in AI, and the National Program for Coders, set to issue 100,000 Golden visas and support 1,000 AI companies.

SP Jain’s Chinese alumni's success stories were also highlighted, including Yingqi (BBA in Finance) in Sydney, Jia Lu (BBA in International Business) in Sydney, and Lin Jiafan (Master of Global Business) in Dubai.

The discussion also covered SP Jain Dubai's accreditation with the Chinese Service Centre for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) and the Ministry of Education in China, ensuring the recognition of its degrees within China.
