An Evening of Learning and Networking – SP Jain hosts Alumni Mixer in Singapore

SP Jain School of Global Management’s Singapore campus had the pleasure of welcoming our alumni for the Alumni Mixer with our current Global MBA (GMBA) and Master of Global Business (MGB) students on Thursday, November 14, 2019.

Infused with camaraderie, SP Jain Alumni Mixer goes beyond the business card exchange and a quick handshake – it allows alumni and postgraduate students to build real relationships with each other, brainstorm new ideas and seek out potential candidates for recruitment.

It was a fun-filled evening of networking, sharing insights, and exchanging ideas and tips to help our students, who are currently in Term 1 of their academic journey, prepare better for the workforce.

Students and alumni belonging to the same specialisation assembled and engaged in discussions in smaller groups for quality interaction. Sharing real insights into the changing career market and the potential in the industry they currently represent, the alumni shared their study and work experiences with the students.

Speaking about the event, Rajat Chandra Mathur, our GMBA student from the Class of September 2019, said, “The Alumni Mixer was a great evening. I would like to thank SP Jain for giving us another wonderful opportunity to interact and learn about what is going on in the industry, the competitive nature and about the journey ahead at SP Jain from our alumni personally. As an MBA student specialising in IT, I was elated to know that technology and its management is only going to grow, and there are immense opportunities in the market.”

Anurag Jha, our MGB student from the Class of September 2019, shared, “The Alumni Mixer was an enriching experience in terms of knowledge and insight. Our alumni explained to us how we should bring clarity in terms of prioritising our work and how should we prepare ourselves for fitting in our desired corporate roles. Our alumni were transparent enough to talk about their hardships and how to prepare during the placement period.”

A special shout-out to all our alumni and our current MGB students interning in Singapore who dedicated their evening to us and connected with our students.
