On 13th November, the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) cohort toured the 3M Customer Technical Center (CTC), an advanced facility that showcases the company’s latest innovations. As a global leader, 3M delivers impactful solutions across a wide range of industries, from healthcare to transportation.
This visit offered students a unique opportunity to explore the giant’s diverse product portfolio and learn how its innovations are advancing industries worldwide.
During the tour, students explored 46 technology platforms across 25 interactive stations, demonstrating the company’s contributions to sectors like safety, transportation, and industry. A standout feature was the virtual reality (VR) technology, which simulated work-at-height training, allowing students to experience how VR solutions enhance workplace safety.
Another highlight was the Curved Dark Tunnel, which showcased retroreflective products such as road signs and pavement markings, demonstrating how these innovations are enhancing traffic safety and mobility and making a real impact on public safety and infrastructure.
Through direct engagement with the company’s industry experts and hands-on observation of their advanced technologies, students gained a clearer understanding of how technology and business strategy work together.
The visit highlighted how staying current with technology is key to growth, safety, and efficiency, while also providing students with an understanding to link theory with practice and see how innovation is transforming industries.
