On 9th October, SP Jain's Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students embarked on an exciting trip to Haw Par Villa, Singapore's largest outdoor art gallery. Established in 1937, this unique cultural gallery is a treasure trove of Asian culture, history, philosophy, and religion, offering experiences both fun and thought-provoking.
Throughout the day, students engaged in a variety of activities that provided valuable insights into Asian culture. They explored intricate sculptures and dioramas that brought traditional Chinese tales to life, enhancing their understanding of these cultural narratives. Thought-provoking discussions about the Ten Courts of Hell encouraged students to contemplate important moral lessons embedded in these ancient stories. Group activities promoted collaboration and critical thinking, as students worked together to unravel the park's myriad stories and symbolism.
The cultural trip proved to be more than just an outing for our BBA students. It served as an excellent way to bridge the gap between academic theories and real-world cultural experiences, allowing students to gain a deeper appreciation for Asian heritage. While exploring great stories and amazing art, our BBA students gained new insights and walked away feeling inspired and excited to explore more of the world.
