EMBA Excellence: Gaining a Competitive Edge with Dr Guglaani's Guidance

 

On October 7, 2023, from 11 am to 12.30 pm, the Executive MBA (EMBA) program successfully held another ECAP session; a Corporate Masterclass, on the topic, ‘The New Wave of Disruption and Opportunities in Businesses and How to manage them effectively,’ by the Guest Speaker Dr Anuraag Guglaani.

On October 7, 2023, from 11 am to 12.30 pm, the Executive MBA (EMBA) program successfully held another ECAP session; a Corporate Masterclass, on the topic, ‘The New Wave of Disruption and Opportunities in Businesses and How to manage them effectively,’ by the Guest Speaker Dr Anuraag Guglaani.

Dr Guglaani sits on the board of some of the largest Family business Groups in the Middle East, Africa & Asia region and is a renowned Family Business Consultant, known for his unique hands-on expertise in transforming large business groups into process-driven entities while creating effective governance and succession structure to enhance Profitability, Growth, Sustainability and risk mitigation. He is also the Managing Partner & CEO of Wazir Advisors, a 15-year-old, Premier Strategic advisory and implementation firm comprising 14 offices spread across the Middle East, South Asia & Africa, serving 1000+ clients representing top brands and family businesses. He was recently awarded by the US President’s Office the ‘Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award’.

This exceptional ECAP session brought together 38+ EMBA students from various batches in Dubai, with some making the journey to the Dubai Campus for this informative event.

Dr Guglaani's presentation was full of insights into effective risk management and the art of creating a compelling value proposition in today's dynamic business landscape. The session was made interactive with a thought provoking group activity, offering a hands-on learning experience to our students. The session was skilfully facilitated by Sashi Nagaraj, a current student from Batch 51.

Towards the conclusion of the event, Ms Parmita expressed gratitude to Dr Guglaani and summarised the key takeaways from his enlightening session. Dean Gary also extended his appreciation to the presenter, acknowledging the value of such enriching interactions.

The students learned about the ever evolving nature of the business world and the importance of staying adaptable.
