How to Better Market Yourself through LinkedIn – An EMBA ECAP Initiative at Dubai

Realising the increasing importance of LinkedIn for professional managers and as a part of the ECAP initiative, SP Jain’s Dubai campus recently organised a 1.5-hour session about LinkedIn. The session titled How to better Market Yourself through building a great profile on LinkedIn was conducted by a recognised expert from the digital social media world, Ms. Alexandra Maia – CEO & Founder, House of Social.

Alexandra's presentation was divided into 3 inter-related topics including how to present yourself to others, your outreach to others, and your sharing with others. She gave insights and outlined the dos and don’ts to optimise your LinkedIn profile, while giving thoughtful comments and recommendations.

During the Q&A session towards the end, Dean Gary pointed out how a LinkedIn Profile must represent Brand You, a point Alexandra wholeheartedly agreed with. She used her own photo on LinkedIn as an example to prove the point. Alexandra also made time to personally meet with the EMBA students and alumni who attended the talk, responding to their queries.
