Dr Silvia Vianello, Director – Innovation at SP Jain School of Global Management, won the Pioneering Woman Leader Award at the 6th Edition of the World Women Leadership Congress on February 17, 2019.
The World Women Leadership Congress honours the strategic and influential role of women leaders in the development of modern economy, technology and administrative methodologies that promote the advancement of government and business organisations according to the standards of global competitiveness.
Winners of the award exemplify the best in leadership. They epitomise the core values of a successful leader – strength, innovation, ingenuity, knowledge and foresight – values that are imperative to carving powerful businesses in the global economy.
On receiving the award, Dr Vianello shared her views on being a leader and said, “If you are a leader, you must create new leaders. Here, at SP Jain, we strive to create global leaders.”
In the past, Dr Vianello has been recognised by Forbes as one of the Top 100 Most Successful Italian Women in the World. She has also been named Manager of the Year by F Settimanale, a fortnightly Italian magazine, and has won The Middle East Women Leadership Award at the Asian Leadership Awards.
