What are the key differences between having a global education and studying in one country? How do these experiences shape the students’ mindset and influence employment opportunities? Prof Christopher Abraham (Head of Campus – Dubai, SP Jain School of Global Management) shares his insights in Higher Education Digest magazine.

The article, published on March 3, 2020, highlights how corporations across the world require professionals with a global mindset who understand the nuances of global culture and global business practices.

Prof Abraham cites an early 21st century experiment by Cornell University that validates the need for global exposure and education to stay relevant. In another research by Harvard University in 2010, which analysed the critical competencies for the 21st century leader, it was found that Global Intelligence was one of the most crucial for surviving and thriving in a dynamic global environment.

“Based on the Cornell University experiment and the research by Harvard University, we can categorically confirm that student employment opportunities are much better for people with global education, in comparison to people educated in one country only,” Prof Abraham writes.

“Students who are able to identify this changing trend and prepare themselves with the right global education have an extremely high probability of exciting and successful career options,” he shares.
