SP Jain’s MBA journey begins with required (core) courses in Economics, Finance, Statistics and Marketing while the remainder of the program is focused around electives and specialisations targeting your own career path. The Global Immersion/Entrepreneurship Project is a mandatory component of the program. Undertaken in each of the three terms of the MBA, the Projects are directed towards creating a higher degree of exposure to the real corporate environment, and enhancing the employability and corporate readiness of students.

Postgraduate students at S P Jain are required to undertake a research project for an industry/company during the program. The following two options are provided to students:
Global Immersion Project (GIP)

The Global Immersion Project, undertaken in each of the three terms of the Global MBA and MGB programs, are directed towards creating a higher degree of exposure to the real corporate environment, and enhancing the employability and corporate readiness of students.

TERM 1 & 2

Students work on a company project that must be submitted by the end of Term 2. In this phase, students are encouraged to apply research tools and techniques across an industry-specific theme and develop consultant-level reports that showcase their strong grounding in research

TERM 3

Students work on a company project that must be submitted by the end of Term 2. In this phase, students are encouraged to apply research tools and techniques across an industry-specific theme and develop consultant-level reports that showcase their strong grounding in research.
Learning Outcomes

On successfully completing the Project, students are expected to develop:

  • Cognitive and critical thinking skills that demonstrate their command over theories
  • Technical, creative and research skills that enable them to analyse information, problems and concepts, and apply theories to different bodies of knowledge and practice
  • Communication skills that help them justify and interpret theoretical propositions, methodologies, conclusions and professional decisions to specialist and non-specialist audiences
Entrepreneurship Projects

Budding entrepreneurs have the option of working individually on a single business idea that is researched, written and presented to potential investors and entrepreneurs in the final term of the program.

Postgraduate students at S P Jain are required to undertake a research project for an industry/company during the program. The following two options are provided to students:
1 CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY 

Bachelor degree

As this is a postgraduate program, you must already be a university graduate to apply. Preference is given to those with additional relevant postgraduate qualifications.

Work Experience

The candidate must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience.

English language proficiency

Candidates who did not complete their secondary education in English must have an English Language Proficiency Score (ELPS) to enrol into the program. At the time of applying for the program, a student is not required to show an ELPS.

However, on being offered admission and prior to the course commencement, students are required to show an ELPS. The last date to submit the score for the January 2019 intake is November 30, 2018.

Acceptable scores are as follows:
  • IELTS minimum score of 6.5 (we accept Academic and General IELTS test scores)
  • TOEFL iBT minimum score of 70
  • Pearson Test of English minimum score of 60
Only test scores obtained in the last 2 years are valid. This is also a mandatory requirement for a student to obtain an Australian visa.

Consulting Management

Please note that admission to the Consulting Management specialisation is stringent and highly competitive. To qualify, applicants must meet at least one of the following three entry requirements:

  • 8 years (minimum) of full-time work experience in a single domain
  • 3 years (minimum) of full-time work experience as a Consultant in a Consultancy firm
  • GMAT score of 700+ or CAT/SPJAT score of 95 percentile and above
2 SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
Applications are considered on a rolling basis and so, the sooner you apply, the better your chances for being selected. Candidates only need to submit one application but may apply for two specialisations within a single application. Admission is offered for only one specialisation and the applicant cannot make changes to the offer. Submitting more than one application form may disqualify a candidate for admission. If you do not wish to opt for our career/placement services or are taking a leave of absence from your present employers (with a commitment to re-join), mark the relevant box in the application form. Candidates accepted under "non-placements" cannot change to "placement category".
3 APPEAR FOR AN APTITUDE TEST
SP Jain requires candidates to take one of the following aptitude tests: 
  • GMAT score of 650 (tested on or after December 1, 2015)
  • GRE score of 320 (tested on or after December 1, 2015)
  • CAT score in the 80th percentile (tested in 2016 or 2017 results declared in January 2017 or January 2018) 
  • SPJAT score in the 80th percentile (tested on or after December 1, 2016)
Candidates may apply even if they have not yet taken the aptitude test, or if their scores are pending. However, candidates will not be shortlisted for evaluation until they submit final test scores.

Profile-based Shortlisting:

A key objective of our Global MBA program is to construct the classroom with students from diverse backgrounds, industries, cultures, experiences and nationalities who can come together and collectively contribute to the learning process. We do consider candidates who have exceptional academic records/overall profiles, but may have aptitude test scores below our cut-offs.
4 APPEAR FOR AN EVALUATION
SP Jain requires candidates to take one of the following aptitude tests:  The admissions team will shortlist applications based on past academic performance, aptitude test scores, work experience, extracurricular activities and other achievements.  

Shortlisted candidates are required to visit one of the selection centres on campus (Dubai, Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Singapore or Sydney) for further evaluation. This includes writing essays, analysing case studies and an interview. Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable USD 50 evaluation fee.   

Approximately three to five working days after their evaluation, candidates are notified as to three potential outcomes: acceptance, waitlist or regret. Only candidates who have been offered admission will be notified via email.

Industry wise employment
  • On-campus housing is compulsory and you cannot stay off-campus. The program demands much preparation, group study and peer learning. Staying together on campus facilitates a smoother learning process for all participants, allowing them to benefit from teamwork, individual talents, cross-cultural exposure and more
  • Fees are payable at S P Jain's Dubai campus
  • All airfares would be borne separately by students
  • A variety of food plans are available to students. It is normal to spend AED 700 or SGD 500 or AUD 750, per month, towards food and other living costs
  • Fee are subject to change at the discretion of the institute
Industry wise employment
  • Last date for payment of all fees/monies – November 30, 2018**
  • Payments received post the last date of November 30, 2018 will carry an interest rate of 15% p.a.
  • The Singapore and Dubai visas would be processed by S P Jain.
